How to make a Long Distance Relationship Work
To tell you honestly, no one's ever said that long distance relationships are easy but knowing that you are in such relationship. There is no reason for both of you to be ruin either.
You just need to have the right formula for it to work with the right commitment and communication. It can actually be more stable than the couples who are closer in distance. Here are the few things we need to remember:
You just need to have the right formula for it to work with the right commitment and communication. It can actually be more stable than the couples who are closer in distance. Here are the few things we need to remember:
- STAY IN CONTACT
Establish and maintain an emotional connection as often as you can. It doesn't have to be long, in-depth conversation. Have it as frequent, no matter how minor it is, as it shows that you care enough to put in time and effort into the relationship. Learn both preferred method for communication and most especially work around your schedules.
- GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER MORE & UNDERSTAND THEM
It is impossible that you already know your partner from head-to-toe. There are still little things which you know that you haven't asked or know about them. Understand them as much as possible if there are things they need to attend to.
- TALK ABOUT THE BORING OR MUNDANE, LITTLE THINGS
You could pick up little things, even part of the day to ask about them. It can also be a way fostering connection and interdependence which is the foundation of relationships.
- SUPPORT EACH OTHER & CREATE TRUST
Try your best to be faithful and avoid any temptation. Be honest and vocal always to your partner especially if there are things you don't agreed with them. Remember that shyness has no room in the relationship as it wouldn't bring good to you both of you. Be open and be you.
- MAKE EACH OTHER FEEL SPECIAL
Many couples tend to forget this things especially if they are already been years together. try to do little things that will let them know that you always care and will always do no matter what happen.
These are only few lists of the things we need to remember when it comes to long distance relationship. I know at the end of the day, both of you are still the once who make your journey in life. Just enjoy your company and love each other.

Long Distance Relationship: More about us
It's been a couple of days since my last post. I and David has lots of talks about life, career and mostly about the relationship. Three (3) more days to go and it will be 4 months since we have known each other through ups and lots of downs. As what he always says, I know lots about him (LOTS AND LOTS about him) and less about me (cause I'm not that yet open enough). Whenever I asked a question, he answers it very well, and when you talk about "very well", its an answer that leads from one thing to another thing. I could say that he enjoys talking and I love listening where it get to the point wherein we didn't noticed the time already especially that we do have 12 hours difference.
We normally do what other couples do are physically near to each other. We listened and groove to the kind of music he plays (mostly soft and hard rock), eating meals (vice versa), showing the works we've done (like poems, blogs, house plan) and etc. Despite the distance that we had, it didn't stopped us from having a normal relationship. Instead, it helps us grow the foundation of love and trust which other couples less do knowing the time difference and being thousand miles away.
You know what dear readers, there is a part wherein my fiancee doesn't know that I always do and means a lot to me, it's when I have the moment of staring at him for a couple of minutes without saying anything but feeling it while he's busy doing his work. I just love staring at my man and imagining the life we will spent together when we'll close the distance already. I could really say that God knows how to give you the right partner when you'll pray for it and patiently wait no matter how long it takes. We may not be a perfect combination of him being too intelligent and who loves politics while me just an average woman who is very sentimental but I could say that we are indeed a good combination made by Him with the right preparation.

“Long Distance Relationship”
“Long Distance Relationship”
by: Lesly Rodas
Long Distance Relationship is what we have
Eager to tell one another the feelings of being truly in love
Days, a thousand days despite of being far
Still our hearts binds together
Promising through the sky that will never be apart
That only me and you would end up from the very start
Hoping someday that we will meet
Continuing the love that we made
That we swear to God we will never ever forget

Competition
Competition from the word itself is a contest between individual or group, it is a major factor in education. Competition provides a goal, an aim for learners to aspire to. I believe that competition is needed to inspire learners to show their best work and achieve what they can do. It is also made up of a large proponent of extracurricular activities in which every students can participate. Students spontaneously seek competition with their peers. They seem to have an innate desire to compare themselves with others in every way, and to prove to everyone that they are the best.
It is one technique the teacher use in his/her teaching. It is good when it is used in a proper way wherein there is a positive and negative result in using it in teaching. It is where the students learn the valuable lesson of getting a failure as a positive step for further development. Teachers or mentors has the direct evidence of problem areas and can promote other methods of learning or even styles of learning.
School is an environment that has intentionally created to allow young people to experiment and to learn both from their teachers as well as from the others. The competition that is inherent in schools allows this to happen while protecting students from the real consequences of failure. Many student like the idea of having a competition in the classroom because it is one of the things where he/she can feel satisfied in his studies. Without competition the student will feel that everything they do is meaningless, as a student they need to compete to there peers in every way so that they can prove not only to other people but especially to themselves that there is something they can do by them alone.
They have different ability from the others because of the fact that not all students are able to perform at the same level in term of academics. They are all unique and special human beings with a hidden talent that we exposed or brought to the public eye only by competing with peers or classmates.

Sample of Learner's Work
This finished activities are made by my students Washington (Jun-jun) and Jullie. They are both already teenager on their age but not with their developmental stage. They are much taller than the rest of the teachers. Even though they do their work with an assistant, we as their teachers ensure that sometimes they will do it by their own for them to learn and have fun. If we will talk about Jun-jun and Jullie fine motor skills, they could already hold or grasp the crayons by their own without any assistant at all and color it. So far, their work is beautiful and it shows that despite of their individual needs, they still enjoyed doing something by their own without even leaving it not finished.

Pamilya
Pamilya
by: Lesly Rodas
Gikan
sa pagkabata hangtod pagkadalaga
Permi
nako mapangutana
Nganong
na tawo dinhi sa kalibutana,
Diin
gihatag sa ako kining klase sa pamilya.
Away
dari, away dadto
Malipayon
man unta kini-adto,
Panaglalis
gikan buntag paingon pani-udto,
Taga
adlaw nalang walay preno-preno.
Pero
bisan in ani ang among pamilya,
Maskin
nagpatong-patong na ang mga problema,
Naa
japon ang pagkahi-usa,
Labaw
nag gagikan sa gahom ang among enerhiya.
E
andam lang ang rosaryo
Sugdan
na dayon namo ang pag ampo,
Apan
ang ngit-ngit nga wala juy lamdag,
Angay
lang jud hatagan ug kahayag.
Love - Life
Talking about my private life is the least thing I want to do, but I think it's best to share some of those thoughts with the people around me. I grew up in a family that is not "open" enough to talk about little things. I was taught to do everything on my own and to learn from my mistakes. Yes, I did learn from every experienced, but I have also learned to keep everything within myself. I also learned that even if I share a little achievement, it would not even matter to them. I have taken all those negative feelings and made it my motivation in life, rather than sharing it with my parents and getting no reaction in return (advice or recognition).
So from living under those conditions, I'll admit, I grew up scared and shy to express myself. In truth, I lack the "guts" to say what I think. It wasn't until college that I found out that being scared and shy has no room in my life. While there, I fell in love and later found out that I was with the wrong person. The relationship ended badly, with me being hurt emotionally and physically, and later finding that he cheated on me numerous times. In the end, I've learned what I don't want and what I need in love.
For each of us, there will always be another person who will enter our lives along the life's journey. They could be our "better half," making us the best that we can be or they could be "worse," dragging us down. Much of it depends on taking a chance when the time comes, recognizing they are standing right in front of us or reject them, because we're too scared to fail. I think that in the end, God has a plan for us all including love.
I met someone online in December of 2015. I didn't expect that God would ever bring him to me. Honestly, I prayed to God and asked for two things while in church on "Simbang Gabi" (a Filipino thing): a better teaching position and to find the right and last man for me. On the very day that Jesus was born, one of them came true -- I met him. He was not the typical guy I have met in the past. He is a man who every girl would want to be with for the rest of their life. I could honestly say that he is my better half. He is my first and sometimes, my only supporter. He's my mentor in many things. And, although sometimes we argue about little things, it never lasts long, because we realize that there is nothing stronger than love. I could say that I'm the lucky one, but I think he's lucky too. :)
I thank God for bringing such a man into my life. My fiancee is worthy of my love. <3
