SUGGESTED CLASSROOM POLICY

SUGGESTED CLASSROOM POLICY

ANSWERING QUESTION- they raise up the yellow flag let whenever they want to raise their hands or should I say this will be a substitution for raising their hands when they want to answer or call the attention of their teacher inside the classroom discussion.

Student-Teacher Relationship

Student-Teacher Relationship

It is all known throughout every individual that when the time we go to school, our second parent is our teacher. Yes it is really true, we dedicate almost lots of our time in school learning together with our classmates and our teachers. Sometimes student and teacher might get through misunderstanding and will lead to hatred. Some students might get bored inside the class if they don't like their teacher or they don't like the subject being thought. But whatever may be the reason behind those negative things, still the teacher must find a way to have a positive relationship with their students whether it might get them long enough to get through it.  As what I’ve learned from one of my teacher in college, she said to us that while she was a teacher of one of the private high school here in our city, there is this one student of her that finds a hard time giving a good grade, so what she did, on the way through the hallway going to the canteen, she walks with her student and asked if how’s his life, then their conversation goes smoothly so the teacher was able to know the reason why his student’s performance in academic was going low. This is one of the approach of the teacher should do to his/her students, to act calmly and befriend with them.

Unruly Behaviour

Unruly Behaviour

It is never a simple job to watch the behaviour of the students while inside the classroom. There are some who knows how to obey rules and some don't mind what you are telling them about. Different attitudes and behaviours we will met on day to day teaching, but one thing is for sure, set your own rules in the room wherein everyone could really follow through. Never change your rules every month rather stick on it and stand for it. Just be sure that when you give your rules and the reasons to them, be clear enough so that both of you will have an understanding. Make sure that you will also give them their consequences if they break one of your rules and then the reward when they follow it. It may be hard to handle the behaviours of each students, but it will be the job of the teacher to work on it and minimize slowly those unwanted attitudes that they have so that it will never be a problem at all. Before setting your rules to the class, discuss it first to them and clearly let them understand you to respect it whatever it may for their goodness. List the rules on a chart and redirected the students to the rules.

cheating

Cheating

We know that we are not perfect living creatures being made by our Almighty Creator; rather we are simply unique in each of our different ways.  Not all of us are intelligent enough especially answering test questions. Every person had already committed an act of “cheating” in each of various ways maybe because they are not prepared to take the quiz or test or did not study at all. But let us discuss first what is “cheating?” It refers to an immoral way of achieving a goal such as cheating during exams. This really breaks the universal rule of gaining an unfair state of advantage in a competitive situation. Cheating nowadays by the students is already prone especially during examination days.  As future teachers, the measures that I think we can use in minimizing this case are through watching the students carefully during the test, limit or fore bid the use of any electronic gadgets inside the classroom while the exam is going on, placing their bags or anything aside from their pens, arranging their seating arrangements according to our preferred way where we know and think that we could really have a watch on them on a bitter view and etc.

absenteeism

Absenteeism

Every students had tried already being absent for at least one or two times every month. A lot of reasonable and unreasonable excuses were said by every absentee. But regarding to that, what do we mean about “absenteeism?” According to my research, it is the habitual pattern of absence from any obligation of a person or specifically through students. We may never know the exact reason why a certain child commits such act of absences more than five times a month. Maybe there is a big problem that that child is having on, we cannot blame all the faults to the child but rather ask the people who really know his/her attitudes and personality and that is his/her parents. We as a future teacher, if we notice someone of our students who do this certain act, we must really do a move to know what is the child going on especially that being absent for a couple of times will really drag him/her off from his/her grade to failure. It will really have a big impact especially to his/her learning. Being absent for how many times is of not a good idea, a student can never focus on the regular pattern of learning if he/she is not going to school every day. If our future students do commit these acts, we should make a move to help them slowly refrain from doing it so. We should not pull them down rather pull them up to uplift their lost of certain quizzes or academic activities that pertain to grading them.
